An enormous amount of older games have incomplete or inaccurate checklists listed either on the box or in the rules.  Some game manufacturers would include random amount of pieces (such as Booby-Trap or Risk) and say "enough pieces for 4 players" (Argggghh!).  Probably the most frustrating are games with cards, they almost never tell how many are in the decks.  Fortunately most games have an even number and 24 is a pretty common amount.

So I use a checklist that is included in the game only as a guide, most of the time reading the instructions, to find out what is necessary to play the game.  Then I hand count all the pieces accurately and try to describe differences between versions when necessary.  Almost all of the games I purchase are in used condition, so I use common sense and best judgement to sometimes fill in the blanks.  But I have been known to make mistakes, just send me an email with any suggestions or corrections.  I hope you find these charts useful.
